Before paying for trucking school...

be advised at least here in Ontario if you have any Demerits on your driving Abstract you could find it quite difficult to get employment as a driver because many companies Insurance Carriers demand squeaky clean driving records as well as CVOR and Criminal records, along with 2 years exp of course. Check job listings in your Province, see exactly what Employers are asking for.

Now if you are willing to go long haul with certain mega-carriers who self-insure you could be ok for the first couple of years, if you survive it. But if you are looking for local driving work for a small company or private fleet you will be facing an uphill struggle unless you are willing to move out west where drivers who are breathing and can hold a steering wheel can probably get work, experienced or not.

If you are fine with the idea of being home maybe 2 days a month working for places like Challenger or Schneider for 2 years, with many 'training' companies demanding months of forced Team driving before they let you go Solo, then go to trucking school. There IS lots of work out there for you.

However, if you just want a driving job where you can be home daily, weekly on weekends or whatever, not a 'lifestyle' that forces you to live in a truck and work 70+ hours a week then you face a bigger struggle as you were be competing for jobs that long hauls guys who want to get out of OTR driving want too.

Schools like TTCC will NOT tell you this. They will push long haul as that keeps their Hiring stats high.
